Changes to our Drop In

We have loved the opportunity to meet survivors at our weekly drop in at Startpoint in Woodley precinct. We have valued and appreciated the warm and friendly welcome afforded to us each week by staff at the cafe, at Alvanley Medical Centre and from members of the Woodley community.

Over the last few months, there has been a sharp increase in the number of survivors, families of survivors and new organisations who are interested in hearing more about what we do and how we do it. This has meant that our workload has increased and our physical capacity has almost reached its limits!

We continually evaluate the use of our time and the value and effectiveness of what we can offer to survivors. At the moment, we need an increased level of flexibility in order to meet the needs of all the people that contact us.

Therefore….we have made the very difficult decision to move the drop in from a weekly to a monthly event.

Our next drop in at Startpoint will be arranged for sometime in the New Year

Please don’t think that we are withdrawing from our commitment to be out and about, meeting survivors. However, in order to meet people’s needs we currently require a greater degree of flexibility in order to meet people’s needs.

If you have met us at the drop in or we usually see you at Startpoint on a Thursday, we want to reassure you that you can contact us any time if you would like to meet up and we will see you at a time and place convenient to you as soon as we can.
